I’m a software developer with 15+ years of experience in building applications that help people to achieve their goals. I enjoy catching waves of technology and while surfing my board. I’m grateful that I can pursue my passion during the workdays and another one at the weekend.

Ben Kilroy is a Tronc Manager at Grateful, bringing a varied background that began in customer-facing roles within the hospitality and financial services sectors, followed by over a decade in the IT Services & Data Infrastructure sector, before progressing through administrative, payroll and CRM roles in the Payroll Services sector. His core strengths span client relations, retention and issue resolution, alongside practical experience in payroll, data analysis and cleansing, system maintenance, and technical product demonstration and training. He is grateful for his colleagues, both human and furry!

A mum of 3 and worked in payroll before joining Grateful. Worked in payroll for 6 years before making the switch to tronc and have not looked back since. I am Grateful for my job/training and my family/work life balance this role has given me.

Damian is a co-founder and CPTO of Grateful. With a background in engineering and over 25 years of building tech businesses — including a bespoke food ordering platform for over 4,000 takeaways — he’s passionate about using technology to solve real problems in hospitality. Away from the screen he loves long-distance running, skiing, and any other physical challenge you can throw at him. He’s most grateful for a healthy and happy family.

I am a Queenager embracing life and trying to navigate in this ever changing world we live in. I enjoy keeping fit especially Piliates, socialising with friends over a glass or 2, and spending time with my husband and 3 grown up boys. I am grateful for moments of peace and all the lessons I have learnt in life that have shaped me into the person I am.

Katie is Head of Services & Compliance at Grateful; her experience spans several decades across hospitality compliance, payroll operations and tech development, building award-winning client-focused teams primed for delivering exceptional customer experiences throughout periods of accelerated growth. She is grateful for the industry that was a lifeline when it welcomed her into it’s arms at the age of 15, and her family, friends and fur-babies, who are her lifeline now.

Hi, I’m Kyle, Onboarding and Excellence lead at Grateful. I have been working in hospitality all my life, from waiting tables at 14 years old, to being a General Manager for a branded restaurant company so its safe to say I know a thing or two about great service and staff recognition. My most recent experience as a CIPD qualified HR and Talent Manager will help to guide and support you throughout your onboarding to the Grateful platform. What am I Grateful for – I am Grateful for my family and getting to watch my kids grow into kind and caring people every day.

Mason co-founded Grateful in 2022 with Jarrod Potter and Damian Guy, after he and Jarrod saw first-hand in the US how well-managed tipping could transform team motivation. Back in the UK, they watched operators drowning in spreadsheets while frontline workers lost trust in opaque, manual tip pooling. They built Grateful to fix it, putting transparency, trust, and ownership back where it belongs. Mason also hosts the Grateful for Hospitality podcast, an in-person series celebrating the people who shape the industry through their stories, craft, and grit. He’s most grateful for the team who pour everything into Grateful, building relentlessly with the kind of belief that turns an idea into something the industry will feel for years to come.

I work across sales and have a genuine love for the hospitality industry. I enjoy getting to know the businesses I work with and finding ways to make their lives a little easier. You’ll find me at industry events, cooking, or doing my best to stay awake after a late-night hospitality event. I’m grateful for hospitality and all the amazing memories it creates, changing and impacting people’s lives in ways that remind you it’s so much more than just a job.

Michael is an Engineering Lead at Grateful, where he leads the team building our SaaS platform. When he’s not writing code, he’s probably automating something that used to take five clicks and turning it into zero. With deep experience across the full development stack, he’s grateful for the chance to build something that reaches thousands of users, knowing every line of code makes someone’s day a little easier.

I’m a Technical Operations Engineer with a background in aerospace engineering at Rolls-Royce. I love finding ways to improve how the team operates, whether that’s building features that make a real difference to day-to-day work, or digging into a problem and getting to the root of it. I’m most grateful to work somewhere where I’m trusted to make a real impact. Outside of work, you’ll find me training calisthenics.

Tracy is a Client Administrator for Grateful, supporting the team as needed to ensure services are delivered on time to clients. She’s grateful to be part of such a vibrant, committed group of people.

Travis is Chief of Staff at Grateful, bringing years of hospitality ops and tech experience at businesses like Mitchells & Butlers, Nando’s and Comptoir Group Plc to a platform built for the people who keep hospitality running. He’s grateful for a lot – his family most of all, and an industry that never once felt like work.

I’ve always enjoy learning more about people and having great conversations which ultimately led in a decision to work in sales and never looked back. In my spare time I love playing football with my friends and all things football related really. If I’m not doing that you’ll most likely find me online gaming.

I love to do sports like tennis, running and e-sports. Pretty interested in perfumes and books. I’m working with Grateful for about 2 years now as a backend engineer. Currently I’m developing my skills in agent engineering trying to be as efficient as I can be. I’m grateful to my friends and family for pushing me outside the frames and making me a better person every day.
